Outpatient Sexuality Specific Therapy

Village Ranch provides the following outpatient sexuality services.

In the Cokato area, the program A Step Beyond (ASB) meets the needs and court requirements in the treatment of adolescent male sex offenders that are placed in our residential program. Emphasis is placed on the adolescent’s sexually aggressive behaviors, as well as their own victimization. Family therapy and victim reconciliation are integral parts of the program.

In the Anoka area, Village Ranch Child and Family Services provides adolescent male sex offender treatment that meet the court requirements for the treatment of sexually aggressive behaviors. Emphasis is placed on the adolescent’s sexually aggressive behaviors, as well as their own victimization. Family therapy and victim reconciliation are integral parts of the program.

The Adolescent Sexual Health Curriculum
This program educates teens about the lawful and socially responsible expression of sexuality. It is not a replacement for sexuality specific therapy or sexual offender therapy. The curriculum is completed in about 10 sessions, depending on the motivation and assignment completion of the client. Parental involvement is required and further sexual behavior concerns will result in the unsuccessful discharge of the client. At the conclusion of the adolescent sexual health curriculum, a discharge staffing is held with all involved parties.

Children Learning and Improving Boundaries (C.L.I.M.B)
This program is a family centered psycho educational curriculum to assist parents and children in the healthy expression of sexuality. The curriculum empowers parents to raise sexually healthy children by giving them accurate information, intervention strategies to address harmful and negative messages about sexuality, and assist them in identifying their sexuality values and supporting parenting behaviors of these values.
