Outpatient Therapy
Many children and teens experience temporary behavior, learning, or emotional problems that can be helped through short-term therapy. Village Ranch provides outpatient
therapy to children and their families to provide stability, reduce environmental stressors, and teach children the skills necessary for a successful transition into adulthood.
Outpatient sessions are scheduled for approximately one hour per week. Village Ranch’s therapists can help with common concerns such as school adjustment, depression, anxiety, difficulty dealing with loss or family changes, abuse, attention problems, parent-child conflicts, and acting-out behaviors. Individual and/or family therapy is focused on resolving issues that impede the child’s ability to adjust or succeed in his or her community or family.
Diagnostic assessments services are available to provide a diagnostic picture around the child’s behavioral issues and concerns. Diagnostic assessments are developed from a clinical interview of the child and his or her legal guardian. The diagnostic assessment incorporates psychosocial background data in conjunction with presenting problems, to develop client-specific recommendations for therapy.
