Residential Programming (Cokato House)

Village Ranch offers residential programming for adolescents who may have mild mental health issues and disorders ranging from oppositional defiant and conduct disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity, amd anxiety disorders to reactive attachment, bipolar and mood disorders. Residents may also have mild chemical dependency or Children in Need of Protective Services (CHIPS).

The length of stay and discharge is dependent on progress and willingness to address their challenges. Residents are required to participate in individual, group and family therapy where behaviors are addressed in a nurturing, yet aggressive manner focused on strength building, empathy, accountability and restoration of harm.

Program services include social skills, anger management and peer accountability groups, on-site individual and family therapy, chemical dependency, cognitive thinking and optional religion education. Residents also have the ability to complete Community Work Service and attend on-site school with mainstream opportunities through Dassel-Cokato School District.
