Dr. Timothy Wright, Psy.D.

Director of Outpatient Services

Dr. Wright has been providing therapy, consultation and education on sexual trauma and sexual aggression. He consults with adoptive, foster care and residential treatment centers on the dynamics of sexual victimization, sexual offending and family reunification.

 

Robin Hubbell, PhD, MSW, LICSW

Clinical Director

Robin is an experienced therapist with specialties in the areas of depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual abuse, sexual inappropriate behaviors, conduct disorder behaviors, couples and family therapy.  After leaving private practice, she worked for 13 years at Fairview Counseling Center in the Fairview Health system and then returned to the Village Ranch fulltime as the Clinical Director of the Cokato site.  Robin works with adolescents age 13 and above and adults in our Cokato office.

 

Christine Morris-Greiman, MS, LMFT

Clinical Director

Christine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a wide range of experience providing therapy in day treatment, in-home, outpatient, school-based and private practice settings.  She has a near-obsessive love for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) along with systemic and trauma-focused approaches to treatment.  With a passion for promoting growth and nurturing the clients and supervisees under her guidance, Christine encourages others to make meaning of their experiences and explore all possibilities in a systemic and organized way.  Her deeply warm, yet straightforward demeanor brings out the very best in those she serves.

 

Katie MW Barrett, MA, LMFT

Clinical Supervisor

Katie’s goal in treating individuals and families is to sort through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and, ultimately, live a happier and healthier life.  By teaching coping and building self-awareness of negative behavior patterns she helps clients gain control over their emotions and behavior. Katie uses humor and empathy to build strong relationships with clients and their family members to encourage and support all members in making the necessary changes needed to reduce conflict, solve problems, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. Since 2000, she has worked with challenging children/adolescences and their families in a variety of settings (foster care, shelter care, group homes, residential and day treatment, juvenile corrections, and school).  She helps family members to lead by example, identify roles, communicate clear expectations, consistently implement consequences and rewards. As a parent, and former foster parent, her experiences have helped her to truly empathize with struggling parents without judgment.         

 

Daniel Beyers, MA, LMFT

Mental Health Professional

Dan currently works for Village Ranch as a psychotherapist and has been providing therapy and education working with adolescent males, men, families, and couples since 2002. He is experienced at working with most common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relational problems, opposition defiance and conduct disorders, and ADHD.  In addition, he specializes in working with victims and perpetrators of sexual abuse.  Dan services clients in our Anoka office.

 

Richard Chamberlin, MA, LMFT

Mental Health Professional

Richard provides therapy in our Anoka clinic working mostly with young people but also with adults and couples. He has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2002 and has worked in many different clinical settings, most recently with PrairieCare in Edina. He specializes in working with trauma survivors using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an integrative psychotherapy approach, and also uses psychosynthesis therapy, which focuses on self-awareness and self-realization. He has degrees from the University of Minnesota and St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.  Richard was a Peace Corps Volunteer for two years in El Salvador, Central America.

 

Kay Neznik, LICSW, ACSW

Mental Health Professional

Kay specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults struggling from trauma of sexual abuse and/or sexual acting-out behaviors.  She has developed treatment protocols and programs to work with these populations in group, individual, family and animal-assisted therapy. She is a co-therapist with Equine-facilitated groups for sex-trafficked and abuse victims. She is level two trained in EMDR and also specializes in therapy with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum.  Along with her private practice Kay works at Village Ranch in the Residential Program with conduct-disordered females ages 12 to 18 years on our Annandale facility as well as Outpatient.  This includes individual, family and group therapy. She has experience presenting and has published articles, book chapters and research.

 

Jennifer Lanners, MS, LPCC, LADC

Mental Health Professional

Jennifer (Jenny) currently holds an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) and LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) licensure.  She has held a position within the state system for 9 years at the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and currently Department of Human Services.  Since 2014 she has held a Board of Directors position for National Alliance of Mental Illness, Southeast region.    Jenny works out of our Rochester office.

 

Jessy Steinmetz, LMFT

Mental Health Professional

Jessy has been providing therapy to children, adolescents, and their families since 2011.  Prior to Village Ranch, she worked as a therapist and skills worker at Nystrom and Associates, LTD.  Jessy works with a wide variety of clients and diagnoses, with areas of strength including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and self-harming behaviors.  Jessy uses many different techniques in her therapy, with emphases in play, art, narrative, and DBT techniques.  Jessy sees clients at our Cokato and Anoka offices.

 

Marian J. Trautmann, MSE, LICSW

Mental Health Professional

Marian, a licensed mental health professional in the state of Minnesota, has been working in the field of Child Welfare for over 35 years with specialties in the areas of adoption/foster care, loss and grief.  She conducts individual, group and family therapy working with children, adolescents, and adults.  She enjoys exploring modalities of sand tray, emotional freedom techniques, play therapy and chi gong.  Marian works out of our Cokato and Anoka offices.

 

Randy Wills, MA, LP

Mental Health Professional

Randy is a licensed Psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, families and couples.  He has provided psychological services for Village Ranch for 14 years.  In addition, in the most recent years, Randy has been working at a co-occurring chemical dependency program.  Randy works out of our Cokato office.

 

Cassandra (Cassie) Andersen, MA

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

Cassie is a clinical trainee working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).  She has a Bachelor's degree in Youth and Family Studies with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota.  She earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary.  Cassie has experience working with children and adolescents.  She did an internship providing non-directive play therapy with younger children and has extensive experience working in different capacities with adolescents.  She spent four years working as a youth pastor at a church in the Denver area.  Cassie has great rapport building skills and is not shy about confronting difficult issues in her clinical work.  She likes to use experiential techniques, play therapy, art therapy, and Choice Theory among other techniques.  She enjoys working with marginalized populations such as transgender youth, the LGBQ population, and individuals from different minority groups. Cassie currently offers therapy and skills services out of our Anoka office. 

 

Victoria (Tori) Godnyuk, MA

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

Tori is a clinical trainee working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in child and adolescent mental health from Bethel University, St. Paul, Minnesota. She has experience working with children and adolescents with a wide array of mental health concerns including attachment, trauma, shame, oppositional/defiance, depression and anxiety. She also has experience in DBT skills training, CBT and directive/non-directive play therapy. She is passionate about working with children and adolescence in helping them uncover their own strengths, tools and skills to achieve a fulfilling and balanced life. Tori offers skills training and therapy focusing on means to help children and adolescents with emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships, and coping.  Her experience has led her to a special interest in play therapy and working with children in an experiential approach to allow for personal growth and healing. 

 

TinaMarie Hubbell, MA, LSW

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

TinaMarie recently transitioned from her role as case manager for Village Ranch’s Residential Program, a role she had filled for over 5 years, to Clinical Trainee working to obtain her LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) license.  She has an undergraduate degree in Social Work and a Masters’ in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas.   She is fully trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and has experience working with children, adolescents and families struggling with chemical dependency, trauma, disruptive behaviors, emotional dysregulation, sexuality, and sexually inappropriate behaviors. TinaMarie provides services out of our Cokato office.

 

Lance Johnson, MA

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

Lance is currently a clinical trainee working towards an LPCC licensure.  He obtained his Masters’ degree in Community Counseling from St. Cloud State University. He has been providing CTSS services, including therapy and skills training, to children, adolescents, and their families for almost 2 years.  Prior to Village Ranch, his previous experience included working as a Mental Health Associate at the St. Cloud Hospital Adult and Adolescent Mental Health units, a Mental Health Practitioner at Northway Intensive Residential Treatment Center in St. Cloud, and a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Case Manager for Central Minnesota Mental Center in St. Cloud. He has experience working with many mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, ODD, ADHD, ASD, and others.  Lance has training in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing PTSD and/or attachment issues as well.  Lance works out of our Cokato office.

 

Blake Ortquist, MA

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

Blake has been providing therapy to children, adolescents, and their families since 2011.  Prior to working at Village Ranch, she worked as a therapist at various mental health clinics in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area providing in-home skills and therapy (both individual and family-based), yoga-based group therapy, and individual and family therapy.  In addition to treating depression/mood, anxiety, grief/loss, and disruptive behaviors, Blake has specialized training in working with children and adolescents who are acting out sexually as well as family reunification.  She is knowledgeable in mindfulness and therapeutic techniques.  She works out of our Anoka Office.

 

Hal Saksa, LSC

Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee

Hal joined Village Ranch in October 2015 as a Mental Health Practitioner providing therapy and skills services in schools, out in the community and in-home. He earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Saint Cloud State University in 2008 and is licensed in the State of Minnesota as a School Counselor. Hal completed his educational requirement and is currently working towards completing required hours to earn a LPCC license in the state of Minnesota. Hal has experience working with clients diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ODD, ASD, PSTD, ADHD and others. Prior to Village Ranch, Hal worked five years in the St. Cloud area and one year in the Blaine area as a school counselor. His experience includes working with grade levels K-12+ on therapeutic services and personal/social development. Hal has instructed over 1000 parents in an adult education class on co-parenting called “Parents Forever” created by the University of Minnesota to recently divorced parents. He has been a substitute teacher in the Anoka-Hennepin and Osseo school districts, and an after-school instructor in Brooklyn Park. Hal’s volunteer experience includes serving as a high school student mentor in the Maple Grove area, a Cub Master for the Boys Scouts of America and a soccer coach.

 

Miranda Berry

Mental Health Practitioner

Miranda graduated from the University of Minnesota with her B.S. in Youth Studies, through the School of Social Work. Miranda’s undergrad program allowed her to work closely with at-risk, inner-city young people. She started her Professional Counseling graduate program through Arizona’s Grand Canyon University in October, 2015 and is on track to obtain her LPCC licensure in 2018. Miranda enjoys working with young people due to their unique personalities and individualized sense of adventure. Miranda serves children in the community as well as boys placed at Village Ranch. When she is not working, Miranda enjoys spending time with her animals, fishing, hunting, and visiting with family.  She provides services out of our Cokato location.

 

Seth Beyers

Mental Health Practitioner

Upon graduating from high school, Seth entered the military and then graduated from college.  Seth has explored many jobs and areas of interest prior to landing with Village Ranch.  He served kids as a Residential Counselor, in the Cokato facility, prior to transitioning into the Practitioner role.  His skills services include, but are not limited to, anger management, dealing with anxiety, and adoption issues.  Seth works out of our Anoka office.

 

Evan Brewton

Mental Health Practitioner

Evan has been teaching skills to children, adolescents, and their families for over a year.  Prior to that he held other roles at Village Ranch including Program Coordinator, Lead Residential Counselor and Residential Counselor.  In total, Evan has worked with children and adolescents who have been placed out of the home for the over 11 years.  Evan Brewton has a specialized knowledge of ASD having two children of his own with this disability.  He has specialized training in working with children and adolescents with ASD, ODD, and children in out-of-home placements.  Evan works out of our Hutchinson location.

 

Jimmie Brown

Mental Health Practitioner

Jimmie has been providing services to children, adolescents, and their families for over 15 years.  Prior to Village Ranch, he worked adolescent inpatient at St Cloud Hospital, Adolescent outpatient at Clara's House, Adolescent Targeted Case Management at CMMHC, and Coached football for St Cloud Cathedral. In addition to working with adolescents, Jimmie enjoys being active, working out and helping others see their true potential.  He works out of our Cokato office.

 

Trent Elder

Mental Health Practitioner

Trent has been working with teenage boys and their families at Village Ranch for over 12 years, providing life skills services for the last six (6) years.  Prior to his employment with Village Ranch, he attained an AA degree in Criminal Justice and worked previously as a Correctional Officer in a county jail for five (5) years.  He also gained life skills knowledge while serving in the United States Air Force for four (4) years as a Security Forces Security Specialist.  During his military service, Trent had the opportunity to travel and live in different parts of the United States as well as several different countries.  That experience has given him insight to working with youth and sharing those experiences with them.  Trent works in our Cokato location.

 

Karmen Kovack

Mental Health Practitioner

Karmen graduated from Minnesota State University-Moorhead with a degree in Criminal Justice and emphasis in Sociology. Previously she had completed an internship at Village Ranch and then worked for Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota and Prairie Learning Center in Raleigh, ND.  She returned to Minnesota and is currently working at Village Ranch as a Mental Health Practitioner.  Karmen works in our Annandale location.

 

Kirby Moynagh

Mental Health Practitioner

Kirby has worked directly with adolescents at Village Ranch for over three (3) years in the Residential Program.  He has recently transitioned into the Practitioner role providing individuals skills to adolescents in Cokato and the surrounding area.

 

Chris Parks

Mental Health Practitioner

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and did his internship with Wright County Probation.  He started with Village Ranch in the Residential Program as a Residential Counselor.  After four years, he transitioned into the Mental Health Practitioner role.  Chris meets with teenage boys in multiple locations around the Cokato to Buffalo network.

 

Jason Skoog

Mental Health Practitioner

Jason has been teaching social skills to adolescents and children in various positions with the Village Ranch since 2010.  Jason began as a Residential Counselor in Cokato and Hutchinson teaching daily living skills to teens in need of direction.  Jason transitioned into his current role practitioner and is now based out of the Anoka office. Jason enjoys teaching social skills based on the Boys Town Curriculum.  Jason likes to think of his skill sessions as planting seeds.  The seeds then need to be cared for and given proper attention so they can grow into blades of grass, or possibly a flower or bush, and sometimes they even grow into a beautiful tree, if the child wants to learn and make a change.  In his leisure time Jason enjoys family time, building things, and learning about hobby farms.  Jason provides services out of our Anoka office.
