Village Ranch began as a Residential Care facility for teenage boys, and today our Residential Program remains our core service with the continuum. With Minnesota locations in Annandale, Cokato, Hutchinson, and Rochester we are able to provide age-appropriate programming for teen boys and girls in a positive, nurturing environment.
COKATO
Our residents are referred through the county. While in residential care, we work toward the goal of returning boys to their homes and help adolescents who are struggling with a range of mental health and behavior issues:
Oppositional defiant and conduct disorder
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Depression and anxiety
Bipolar and mood disorders
Mild chemical dependency
Residential placement is also offered to children in need of protective services (CHIPS).
Residential care includes:
Onsite individual, group and family therapy to address specific behaviors
Programming that includes social skills and anger management
Peer accountability groups
Opportunity to complete court-ordered community service
The option to attend a local school
Religion education (optional)
Chemical dependency counseling
ANNANDALE
Our female residents are between the ages of 12-18 and referred through the county via Corrections and/or Human Services. While in residential care, we work toward the goal of returning the girls to their homes or other homes that are in the best interest of the adolescent. Village Ranch will help adolescents who are struggling with a range of mental health and behavior issues:

HUTCHINSON
Our Hutchinson group home focuses on building the independent living skills of teenage boys, age 15 to 19, so they may successfully return to the community. These residents enter our program voluntarily, through court order, or through the Child in Need of Protective Services (CHIPS) program. While in residence, they benefit from a multi-disciplinary team to give them support, structure and therapy to limit the risk of detrimental behavior.
Residential Care includes:
Individual, group and family therapy
Life skills coaching, including money management, meals and nutrition, personal appearance and hygiene, health, housekeeping, education, job seeking, birth control, parenting and more
Requirement to attend the local public school (for those who have not graduated from high school or do not have a GED)
The option to receive a post-secondary education (for those with a high school diploma or GED)
Ongoing employment skills and learning
ROCHESTER
Our Rochester group home focuses on building the independent living skills of teenage boys, age 15 to 19, so they may successfully return to the community. PLEASE NOTE: Village Ranch directly bills the County for room and board, and insurance for the resident’s therapeutic services provided through Village Ranch Child and Family Services.
